Lucky Kgwadi, a serial entrepreneur, block chain enthusiast, innovator and township developer has set to launch an online platform called community parliament. This is designed to digitize local government services, governance and delivery and enable the citizens to connect.
The vision as mentioned is; “to bridge the communication gap between local government and the community to resolve issues faced by the community and thereby serving as a catalyst for service delivery and clean governance”.
It is intended to have four portals; a virtual community platform that consists of ward councillors, community members, community leaders and relevant stake holders.
Community forums that will enable members raise issues and discuss with the members of their community.
A portal that enables service delivery of basic needs that enables community members to report issues using Artificial Intelligence system to take pictures, upload them and send them to the relevant local government department for Immediate attention. Status of the report will be public and transparent.
Communities will be a transparent system that enables local government to share status of current projects, procurement processes, officials responsible and reporting processes.
The goal is to transform the local government into a smart government. Making it easier to hold them accountable by covering the citizen report, municipal response and problem resolution.
This platform will be accompanied by heat map so any citizen anywhere can see what issues are being raised and their responses.
