Victor Osimhen is a 23-year-old Nigerian professional footballer alias Mr. Hat Trick currently plays as a striker for Italian Serie A side Napoli at the club level and the Super Eagles of Nigeria at the international level. He is known for his pace, work rate, and aerial abilities.

Victor got his first professional contract in January 2017 after his noticeable performance at the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup. He was scouted by German club VfL Wolfsburg. He has also played for some clubs in Europe including four-time Ligue 1 champions Lille OSC.

Victor was born on 29th September, 1998 and goes by the full name Victor James Osimhen. He was born and bred in Lagos, Nigeria although he is from the Esan tribe, South-East local government area of Edo state. He was raised by his father, Elder Patrick Osimhen following the demise of his mother. He is the 7th out of his 6 siblings. On May 24th, 2020, his father also passed away at age 80 after a sickness.

His Football Career

He started off his early football career at the Ultimate Strikers Academy in Lagos, Nigeria. He had a breakthrough in his career after his performance at the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup, which secured him a contract with VfL Wolfsburg. Following his performance, he was awarded the CAF Youth Player of the year in 2015.

He made his senior debut performance for Super Eagles in June 2017, in a 3-0 friendly win over Togo. He moved to the Belgian side Charleroi on loan in 2018-2019 before going to France at Lille. In 2020, Victor transferred to Serie A club Napoli for a club-record fee of 70 million Euros, making him the most expensive African transfer to date.

His present contract with Napoli expires in 2025, but victor continues to be linked with a move away from Italy this summer which could see him almost double his yearly package.
