Morocco’s National airline plans to airlift more jubilant fans to the ongoing 2022 FIFA World Cup, ahead of their semi-final clash against France on Wednesday 14th December in Qatar.

On Monday, in a statement by the airline’s management, it said, “In order to allow the many Moroccans wanting to support the national team at its peak and experience the emotion of the World Cup semi-final, Royal Air Maroc has set up an air bridge between Casablanca and Doha”.

Recall that the country’s national team defeated Portugal in 1-0 match on Saturday becoming the first African or Arab team to qualify for a World Cup semi-final and ensuing celebrations across the Arab world.

The Royal Air Maroc airline called it a “historic rating” and said the jumbo jets would operate the 30 return flights that would leave on Tuesday and Wednesday in time for the match.

However, fans had earlier complained online about difficulties at a crowded airport in Casablanca, Morocco’s economic capital ahead of the Portugal clash.

The Moroccan team coach, Walid Regragui who recently took over before the start of the tournament has repeatedly called Moroccan fans “the 12th member of the team”
