Nigerian professional footballer, Super Falcons star Ngozi Sonia Okobi-Okeoghene marks her 29th birthday today 14th December, 2022.
The football star plays as a forward for Swedish club Eskilstuna United DFF and the Nigeria women’s national team and has also been one of Nigeria’s most featured players since progressing from the youth team.
In 2010, she made her first appearance for the Super Falcons and has become one of the veterans in midfield in the past ten years.
In the spirit of celebration, Okobi also celebrated her fifth wedding anniversary. In a message on her official social media platforms, she revealed celebrating her five years wedding anniversary with her husband and thanked him for being an amazing spouse.

She started off her professional career with Delta Queens in the Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL), which has been a worth-while for her.
Okobi moved to the United States of America and played for Washington Spirit in the National Women’s SoccerLeague (NWSL), and later returned to Europe with Sweden for top women’s outfit Vittsjo GIK and is currently with rivals Eskilstuna United.
Okobi has been part of the team that won the 2010, 2014, 2016, and 2018 FIFA Women’s World Cup of Nations (WAFCON), as she is one the key players for the Super Falcons.
Also, she was part of the Super Falcons team that finished fourth at the 2022 WAFCON and is anticipated to return for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
