“Eradicate the slums” has always been the Algerian ambition and has been since 1962. Yearly, they put in projects and developments to achieve this goal.

Between 2014 and January 2016, Algiers Wilaya managed to eradicate more than 316 slums and rehouse more than 44,000 families.

Recently, Algeria has embarked on ambitious housing and infrastructural projects, building new cities and transforming the urban space. This infrastructural project also includes building new houses for the citizens that do not have homes.
