As recently stated by Yahoo Finance, Zimbabwe has been ranked as one of the 12 most advanced countries in Africa, ranking in the 11th position as result of its gross income from the informal sector which sustains the country’s economy.
The global economic analysts, Yahoo Finance stated that Zimbabwe is behind South Africa, Morocco, Tunisia, Botswana, Kenya, Egypt, Ghana, Namibia, Senegal, and Tanzania.
The survey also revealed that Zimbabwe’s economy relies solely on the informal sector due to the high unemployment rates in the country.
According to statistics by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) which shows that Zimbabwe is the world’s second-largest economy boosted with the informal sector, consisting of 64.1% of the economy.
