The South African Rand Show returns with exciting activities to please the whole family this April. The expo is one of the most remarkable events on the country’s annual entertainment calendar. This year it will run from 6th to 10th April 2023, to take place at the Johannesburg Expo Centre, Nasrec.

The Rand Show also called the Grand Rand Show in the late 1980s, is South Africa’s largest consumer exhibition, attracting over 400,000 visitors in 2007. It is regarded as one most important events in the city of Johannesburg. 

The annual event promises to offer thrilling activities at the forthcoming edition in April. Some of the top lists of activities include the new Easter Wonderland for kids, and without extra costs will feature rides, play areas, entertainment, giveaways, and most importantly a visit from the Beacon Easter Bunny. 

It will also have a host of outdoor activities including retail shopping, all-day entertainment, kids’ fun, rides and competitions, and lots of food and drinks stalls. It assures attendees of a great and fun day out. Sales of tickets will begin on 31st January and there are no plans to increase the price. 

CEO of Rand Show, Adele Hartdegen revealed that this year’s event will also entertain big-name local musicians that will be performing throughout the grounds at no extra expense to visitors. 

She added that it will promote an initiative that will help improve and support SMMEs. Also, a sum of R 50,000 will be given to the winner to grow their business, as small businesses and visitors are expected to vote for their favorite stands via the Rand Show App.

Also, there will be an SMME Summit, where participating SMMEs will have an opportunity to interact with corporates and public sector representatives in terms of funding, training, and access to the market.
