Lyle Brent Foster is a South African professional footballer born on the 3rd of September 2000. He plays as a forward for EFL Championship club Burnley and the South Africa national team.

Brent was named among the English newspaper The Guardian’s top 60 most promising young players in the world. He signed a deal with Monaco in January, 2019 which lasts till June 2023, where he will begin on the reserve team.

On the 30th of August 2019, Brent joined Monaco’s farm-club Cercle Brugge in Belgium on a season-long loan. On August 2020, he became a new player for Vitória de Guimarães. In 2021, he joined Westerlo on a season-long loan.

In 2022, he moved to Westerlo on a permanent basis and signed a four-year contract with the club

Burnley have agreed to a 6.2 million euros deal for his switch from Belgian club, KVC Westerlo. The transfer will increase to 8.8 euros if they gain promotion to the Premier League.

This sets Lyle Brent Foster on the path of becoming South Africa’s most expensive player.
