On Monday, the 30th of January, Nigerian president, Muhammadu Buhari commissioned the bridge at the Hotoro roundabout in the Kano Metropolis, Nigeria.

The project was financed through an 8 billion naira bank loan. It stretches between the Kano bypass road and the Kano-Maiduguri road and it is named after the president.

The Muhammed Buhari three-layer interchange will ease the flow of traffic from the busy road connecting Kano with states in the northeast.

He not only commissioned the bridge, but he also commissioned other projects like the 10 Megawatt Kano Solar  Power Project funded by Nigeria Sovereign Investment  Authority.

The President, accompanied by the host governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, and the chairman of the NSIA Board of Directors, Farouk Gumel, expressed satisfaction with the quality of the job done in the installation of the solar power plants.

He also commissioned the National Tier IV Data Center located on Ahmadu Bello Way, constructed by the Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy. He commissioned the Dala Inland Dry Port in Zawachiki, Cancer Treatment Centre at Muhammadu Buhari Specialist Hospital, Giginyu; Aliko Dangote Ultra-Modern Skill Acquisition Centre, Zaria Road and a Federal Government Housing Unit at Gandun Sarki, Darmanawa.

The President went ahead to commend Mr. Ganduje for the infrastructural development the state has witnessed under him.
