Rwanda sets to hold the Africa Soft Power Summit scheduled to take place from 23 May to 28 May 2023. The Africa Soft Power Summit is an event that showcases Africa’s growing influence on the global map.
The news was announced in Lagos at a partners’ forum to introduce the summit that recognizes Africa’s unique creative with sessions, networking activities, and local events.
The summit focuses on utilizing Africa’s creative, cultural, and expertise industries in a bid to put Africa forward while channeling the incorporation of African and diaspora voices for a global course.
The founder of Africa Soft Power, Nkiru Balonwu said that Africans have to be proud of their abilities, as the project aims to support indigenous talent, business, and technology.
She commended the efforts of some partners including African Women on Board (AWB), FilmOne Entertainment, and TechCabal stating that the project is focused on maintaining unique balancing in partnership.
The summit will have the women’s division, creative division, gala, and awards night which will feature a variety of panels and workshops with topics focused on the usage of technology to aid African soft power, the essence of strategic communication in African affairs, and the role of African media in soft power.
A wide range of African leaders such as heads of state, ministers, and representatives in the private sector will be in attendance to further encourage Africa’s soft power and help Africa be a major player in global affairs.
