Recently, a serious earthquake hit Turkey and Syria leaving many houses underground and in rumbles. Families have been displaced and so many people are feared dead. The death toll from this disaster is skyrocketing to tens of thousands and it has left them starving among other things.
Some countries are sympathizing with them and sending aid to help the survivors. Among countries empathizing is Tunisia.
The President, Kais Saied ordered humanitarian aid for the countries; this includes 15 tonnes of blankets and food after they were hit on Monday by a 7.8 magnitude earthquake.
So many countries have pledged their support, and search teams and relief supplies have already started arriving by air.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has also declared a state of emergency in 10 Southeastern provinces.
The World Health Organization has warned that the massive earthquake could affect up to 23 million people and urged nations to rush help to the disaster zone. It is nice to know that most countries are heeding the plea for help and rendering help.
