Al Ahly is a Sporting Club commonly referred to as Ahly. it is an Egyptian professional football club based in Cairo and plays in the Egyptian Premier League.

The club was founded on the 24th of April, 1907. It has a record of 42 Egyptian Premier League titles, 37 Egypt Cup titles, and 12 Egyptian Super Cups.

Internationally, the club has also won a record 10 CAF Champions League titles, 1 CAF Confederation Cup, a record of 8 CAF Super Cups, a record of 4 African Cup Winners’ Cups, 1 Afro-Asian Club Championship, an Arab Club Champions Cup, an Arab Cup Winners’ Cup, a record of 2 Arab Super Cups, and has won 3 bronze medals in the FIFA Club World Cup. 

Al Ahly is considered the most successful football club in African history and was voted by CAF as the African club of the 20th century.

They participated in the FIFA Club World Cup in Morocco of which they emerged fourth. They will be rewarded with a cash price of $2 million dollars for finishing fourth.
