Victoria Falls Carnival will expand its reach and horizon for this year’s premier festival by branching into Zambia.

This information was revealed exclusively to Standard Style. The organizers of the event said this year the event would extend its reach to Livingstone, a Zambian city just 10 kilometers to the north of the Zambezi river.

The carnival is slated to hold from the 28th to the 30th of April 2023. The main events will be happening at the lush grounds at Elephant Hills Resort and Conference Center and stand-alone music experiences happening at the five-star Radisson Blu Resort in Livingstone.

According to the Carnival director, Craig Bright even though this year’s event will be hosted in Livingstone, the traditional flair of Victoria Falls and Zimbabwe will not be taken away.

This will be the first time in history this carnival will be taken across Zambezi to include the Zambian side. This information was confirmed by the carnival director when he said “For the first time in its history, the Vic Falls Carnival will cross the Zambezi to include the Zambian side in a host of standalone music experiences at the beautiful, 5-star Radisson Blu Resort, reaching more fans and creating a bigger festival footprint than ever before. The spirit of the Vic Falls Carnival remains the same — beautiful locations, competitive packages, a wide selection of artists from across the continent, and uniting music and adventure fans from around the world in a celebration of all things Africa.”

When he was asked about the rumors that the festival was moving this year to Livingstone due to the high cost of service providers in Zimbabwe, Bright responded: “The festival remains in Zimbabwe, a country that has been the theme of the festival for 11 years, and the organizers’ love for the country remains unchanged.” Organizers have so far announced South Africa’s Black Motion, DJ Rimo, DJ Nitefreak, and Anita Jaxson as the performers with more acts going to be announced.
