Joseph Simion Misa, popularly known as DJ Joozey is Tanzania’s fast-rising deejay and aspiring producer. He is currently a resident DJ at two of the most happening hotspots in Tanzania; Elements Nightclub, a premium club in Dar-es-Salaam, and Wavuvi Camp beachfront. He is also signed with entertainment company Str8up Vibes and plays on the biggest stages with renowned local and international artists. Joozey also has some endorsement deals with a few brands.

His recent feat is going into the world of music production as he just released his first Amapiano-influenced Bongo Flava track “Tobesta” featuring some other famous African musicians.

This fast-rising DJ just made a spectacular move as he performed an epic DJ set of 15 minutes at the Uhuru peak of Mt Kilimanjaro. Mt Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa and the highest single free-standing mountain above sea level globally. It is at a height of 5,895 meters above sea level and 4,900 meters above the plateau base.

DJ Joozey was also one of the only artists from Africa to feature in the album campaign of DK Khaled, which was for his thirteenth studio album, “God did”, released in 2022. This 27-year-old just joined the entertainment industry five years ago and he is already leaving his mark.
