The Algerian pavilion in the International Zone of Expo 2023 Doha was recently inaugurated by the Ambassador of Algeria to Qatar, H E Salah Attia, Expo 2023 Doha Commissioner General, Ambassador H E Bader bin Omar AI Dafa, and Expo 2023 Doha Secretary-General, Engr. Mohammed Ali AI Khouri.

The inauguration was held in the presence of a number of their Excellencies heads of diplomatic missions accredited to the State, those interested in environmental affairs, as well as members of the Algerian community in Qatar.

               

Algeria’s rich legacy, cultural history, customs, and traditions are all on display at the pavilion. It provides a comprehensive overview of Algeria’s agricultural legacy and history, including its innovations and future ambitions, and it depicts the country’s bright and sustainable future.

The Algerian ambassador thanked Qatar for hosting the 2023 Horticultural Exposition and praised Ambassador Bader bin Omar Al Dafa’s leadership for the successful outcome of the event. He continued by praising the pavilion as a display of Algeria’s many tourist attractions, which include breathtaking landscapes and the country’s natural beauty in its mountainous and desert regions.

According to the ambassador of Algeria, Qatar was successful in putting together an international exhibition that showcases the agricultural and environmental advancements of the participating nations together with a variety of cultures from around the globe. He emphasized how critical it is to address global concerns on water, agriculture, sustainability, horticulture, and the environment.

                

He continued by saying that Qatar organized Expo 2023 Doha as a response to these problems and invited all nations to participate in this global showcase. Additionally, he gave recognition to everyone who helped plan the event and make the exhibitors’ experiences easier.

According to Mokhtar Attar, head of the Algerian Pavilion, the exhibit showcases the most cutting-edge and contemporary technologies that Algeria has employed in desert agriculture while also narrating the country’s struggle and triumph in the fight against desertification. He mentioned that Algeria started farming in a lot of desert areas more than 50 years ago to stop desertification.

The Algerian Pavilion at Expo 2023 Doha is expected to be a highlight attraction, drawing more and more tourists to see the country’s distinctive cultural and economic story.
