Popular American rapper, Jeffery Bruce Atkins with stage name Ja Rule has shown commitment to education in Ghana by announcing his intentions of building a school in the West African country.

Via his handle on X, formerly Twitter, the talented artist revealed his vision in a post, expressing his desire to add to the educational sector of Ghana. In his post earlier this week, he wrote, “I’m building a school in Ghana and can’t wait to go and break ground.” “Rule love the kids!!!”

Prior to this announcement, Ja Rule had disclosed that he signed a new record deal worth $100 million in prospects on his Twitter/X handle, “Just signed my new label deal potentially worth a hundred mill… LFG!!! Thanks for the love and to the haters SMD,” he wrote.

Following this tweet was Ghana’s school project. He further expressed his desire to look forward to breaking ground.

At the time he made the post, there were no further details regarding Ja Rule’s plan to build the school nor did he provide specific details about the school’s location or timeline for construction. However, the rap artiste has displayed a commitment to good and quality education and its importance to him.

Ja Rule has increasingly shown interest in philanthropic and social activities. In 2022, Afrotech reported that the 47-year-old rapper matched profits from the Black is Beautiful non-fungible token (NFT) collection with a donation to Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). 

The artiste has also teamed up with ace celebrities like Ghanaian-American, Micheal Blankson, and Lil Jon to collaborate with Pencils for Promise, an organization that builds schools in developing countries like Ghana, donated to the program and supported in building a school that later enrolled 300 children.

Ja Rule has no doubt, over the years shown his interest in the development of Africans and the African educational landscape.
