Busta Rhymes, an American rapper and songwriter, has revealed that he will take a vacation to Ghana later this year.
At the pre-66th Grammy event in Los Angeles, comedian Dave Chappelle extended an invitation to Grammy nominee Berla Mundi in an exclusive interview. However, the musician was unable to attend because of prior commitments.
He did, however, indicate that he would be open to spending the holidays in Ghana this year.
“I actually had plans to come to Ghana last year during Christmas. David Chappelle was trying to bring me but I had other commitments. I am not going to promise but that is the goal, to be in Ghana this year,” he shared during the interview with Berla Mundi.
The rapper also discussed his most recent work on the song “Roboshotta,” which is part of his eleventh studio album, Blockbuster, alongside Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Burna Boy.
On November 24, 2023, the album was made available via his Conglomerate Entertainment label, with distribution handled by Epic Records.
In addition to expressing his delight for the partnership with Burna Boy, Busta Rhymes made hints about his wish to work with additional African musicians in the future.
“It was amazing, beautiful. The energy is good. The Burna Boy moment happened at the right time and right place,” he said.
