In ancient Egyptian mythology, the metaverse was a divine plane that existed where the gods resided. Today a metaverse has been designed as a digital universe where users can interact with each other and create their own avatar. The metaverse links the past, the present and the future

A new city was created on the metaverse named Meta Tut. The project is a building of a 3D city that contains elements of ancient Egypt and merging them with modern technology. It has been created to celebrate Egyptian culture and heritage.

The city was launched on the 30th of November, 2022. Hisham Kharma was the first Egyptian musician to play his music in the metaverse. He performed during the launch of the Meta Tut. He played two of his scores in the inner pyramid and the enchanted melody hall.

Hisham Kharma is a music composer and producer, creative director and social entrepreneur that was born and raised in Cairo, Egypt. He also founded an online service that matches blood donors and patients in need of blood, based on location and blood type as a way to give back to his community

He kickstarted his live music concert in 2016. Recently, he presented the official music theme and the opening film soundtrack for the 27th United Nations Climate Change Conference held by the Egyptian Ministry of Environment and the UNFCCC.
