MOROCCO PLANS TO LAUNCH GRAND STADIUM OF CASABLANCA IN 2025.

Morocco has planned to launch a 93,000 capacity stadium in Casablanca in 2025. The proposed title of this stadium is Grand Stade de Casablanca.

Once completed in 2025, it will be used for football matches and will serve as the home of the Moroccan men’s national team, the Atlas Lions.

It is the third highest capacity football stadium in Africa; it will replace Stade Mohammed V upon completion.

The initial idea of the stadium was for the world cup in 2010 but Morocco lost their bid to South Africa. It also would have hosted the finals of the 2026 World cup had the three nation bids of Canada, Mexico and the United States not out done theirs.

Morocco is now planning to bid to host the World cup in 2030 with Grand Stade de Casablanca as one of its venues.
