• Zimbabwe developed its own chat platform to enable citizens to connect with the outside world at a faster speed.

Zimbabwe has developed its own chat app that will provide a one-stop shop for similar businesses and individuals to connect seamlessly from any part of the world. The new chat platform “Talk Chart” which will be launched this month was developed by Prevail International. Talk Chart will enable Zimbabweans to connect with the outside world faster.

The new ‘Talk Chart” app will be a one-stop shop as it connects people, according to the CEO of Prevail International Group, Mr. Tempter Paul Tungwarara, and going forward it will permit users to transact as there are plans to have a payment gateway linked to banks and other financial institutions on the platform.

He said, “As we build on the mantra – Zimbabwe is open for business – we want Zimbabweans to connect with each other and the outside world. The application is available for download on the play store”. He explained that the app allows sending and receiving text messages, photos, videos, voice messages, and transact. It also allows one to express oneself and stay connected with others whether in a one-on-one or group chat.

According to Mr. Paul, Talk Chart is a fast, reliable, and secure chat app that allows people to stay connected. The app uses state-of-the-art encryption to keep messages safe and private, in order so for users to confidently chat knowing that their conversations are safe. 

Prevail Group Dubai, the developer said that the app’s privacy practices include handling data in a professional manner. Tungwarara pointed out that using a mobile application like “Talk Chart” is faster than mobile websites. “Even a well-groomed and responsive optimized responsive mobile website cannot match the speed of the app, he added, noting that “businesses are all about giving the service as fast as possible today, and slight lag can cause massive loss and can lead to customer discontent”.

The CEO said that Talk Chart can leverage the features of native devices seamlessly, which opens a great opportunity to engage with the users’ productivity.
