
While speaking to journalists in the Capital city of Dodoma, the Minister of State in the President’s Office (Regional Administration and Local Government), Ms. Angela Kairuki announced on April 12th 21,200 job vacancies for teachers and health service providers, as applications begin now till April 25, 2023.
The minister explained that out of the 21,200 positions, 13,130 would be for primary and secondary school teachers and 8,070 for healthcare professionals working in dispensaries, health centers, and hospitals. Also, she stated that job seekers should be those who graduated from 2015 to 2022 with the right qualifications and are not more than 45 years of age.
Although the minister did not specify whether volunteers will be given preference, she did indicate they are welcome to apply for the roles. She clarified that “the president has issued a permit for employing the would-be applicants and we are immediately starting that process from today, those to be employed must be certificated and degree holders, depending on the job specification applied for”.

The minister emphasized that the government will only hire those who are under the age of 45 and advised candidates against lying about their experience and ages, especially those with impairments who may apply.
All applicants, she advised, should submit their applications via the Tamisemi website (the ministry’s website), and those who had previously submitted applications must update their information. She also issued a warning that applications submitted via postal mail or by phone will not be accepted.
