
African artists Burna Boy, Uncle Waffles and Toby Nwigwe are in the line up of the 2023 Coachella Valley Music and Arts festival, the world’s most popular music festival at the Empire Polo Grounds in Indio, California.
Burna Boy had a hugely successful 2022 especially with the release of his album “love, Damini”. His hit single “last last” was one of the biggest Afrobeats songs of 2022 as it had so many international successes. He had performed at a Coachella festival in 2020. This will be his second appearance in a Coachella Festival.
Lungelihle Zwane, popularly known as Uncle Waffles is one of the South African famous DJs. She is best known for her official debut single “ Tanzania” and the hit EP “Red Dragon”. She is an entertainer and a TV presenter.
Tobechukwu Dubem Nwigwe, famously known as Toby Nwigwe is an American rapper, singer and actor of Nigerian descent. He co-starred in the Netflix television series Mo. he also received a nomination for Best New artist at the 65th Grammy Awards.
Goldenvoice, the festival’s promoters, dropped the anticipated line up for this year’s event on its official instagram page @goldenvoice.
The 2023 edition will run for two consecutive weekends, from April 14th till. the 16th and again from April 21st till the 23rd.
