
Damini Ogulu, famously known by his stage name Burna Boy, a Nigerian music artist has been added to the 2024 Grammy performance schedule.
The Recording Academy revealed Burna Boy’s performance alongside Travis Scott and Luke Combs on Monday morning. The Grammy organizers said on its X handle, “Attention: African Giant @BurnaBoy will take the #GRAMMYs stage on Sunday, February 4th at 8 PM ET / 5 PM PT on @CBS.” They also posted: “@BurnaBoy, @LukeCombs, and @trvisXX have been added to the performer lineup for the 2024 #GRAMMYs. They join previously announced 2024 GRAMMYs performers @BillieEilish, @DuaLipa, and @OliviaRodrigo.” This means other acts including Olivia Rodrigo, Billie Eilish, and Dua Lipa have already been confirmed.
The “City Boy” crooner was already shortlisted for three Grammy Award nominations, which are, Best Global Music Performance for “Alone,” Best Melodic Rap Performance for “Sittin’ On Top Of The World,” and Best African Music Performance for “City Boys.”
The 66th Annual Grammy Awards will honor the best recordings, compositions, and artists from October 1, 2022, to September 15, 2023, as chosen by the members of The Recording Academy on Sunday, February 4, 2024. In its 21st year at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, the ceremony will be broadcast on CBS and available to stream on Paramount+ and will be hosted by Trevor Noah for the fourth time.
