NIGERIAN PRESIDENT INAUGURATES NEWLY BUILT POLICE HEADQUATERS AT DAMATURU, YOBE STATE.

One of the most important things in a state is security; if the infrastructure is great and the economy is stable, if there is no security, it could all crumble.

 

For this reason, the Governor of Yobe State, Governor Mai Mala Buni has taken steps to beef up the security of the state. One of those steps is the building of the new Yobe State Police Command Headquarters, a Police Hospital complex and a Police SecondarySchool in Damaturu, the state capital. The modern hospital is fully equipped with 120 beds.

 

On the 9th of January, 2023, the president visited Damaturu, Yobe State and he inaugurated the newly built Police Headquarters, the Police Hospital Complex and the Police Secondary School. 

 

Ahead of his visit, the Yobe state Governor tightened up the security of the state. In an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Dungus Abdulkarim said that operatives were fully equipped and ready to ensure adequate peace and security in Damaturu before, during and after the visit.

 

Other projects that were inaugurated are the Damaturu Cargo Airport, Model School at New Bra Bra Quarters, new Maternal and Child Healthcare Complex and Damaturu Modern Market.

 

Apart from these other projects that were inaugurated, there are other projects that have already been completed like the modern markets in Nguru and Gashua. The Commissioner for Commerce, Industry and Tourism, Barma Shettima while speaking to the News Agency of Nigeria mentioned that the market has state of the art facilities. Some other projects are nearing completion.
