Insiab, a Libyan solar company constructed solar powered water wells equipped with laser beacons in the Libyan desert to guide travelers and lost people to water sources.

 Solar pumps are brushless and can operate efficiently on DC power. The solar panels produced these days are more efficient and they can pump water anywhere on earth with no external power required. Although very efficient, the cost of maintenance is very low

Laser beams on the other hand are highly accurate Autonomous Mobile Robot Laser navigation systems ideal for use in large areas.

The minister of oil and gas had earlier in 2021 announced the plans for the construction of the solar plant with French multinational Total Energies.

This is a very innovative creation as it does not only provide water to the travelers and lost but also guide them to where the water is.
